Residential Bin Rental FAQ

Straight answers for homeowners, landlords, property owners, and residential builders.

Can I get a bin delivered tomorrow?

Call today for next-day delivery. Timing depends on location, schedule, and bin availability. For the fastest service, call 604-690-7325.

How long can I keep the bin?

Most residential rentals are flexible for 7-10 days. If you need more time, let us know when requesting your quote.

Do you publish prices online?

No. Pricing depends on your location, bin size, material type, weight, and disposal requirements. Call 604-690-7325 or fill out the quote form and we'll help you choose the right bin.

How do I pay for the bin rental?

Payment details are confirmed as part of your quote and booking. Pricing depends on the city, bin size, material type, weight, rental period, and disposal requirements.

What size bin do I need?

The right bin depends on the material, weight, volume, and where the bin can be placed. Heavy materials such as concrete, dirt, rock, brick, and pavers usually need smaller bins. Bulky household cleanup or renovation debris may need more volume.

What can I put in the bin?

Common materials include household cleanup waste, renovation debris, wood, drywall, metal, cardboard, roofing material, concrete, dirt, rock, yard waste, and mixed materials. Drywall must stay separate for drywall-only pricing; mixed drywall loads are surcharged. Ask us if you are unsure.

What cannot go in the bin?

Paint, chemicals, oil, batteries, asbestos, tires, electronics, food waste, hazardous materials, contaminated soil, and other restricted items may not be accepted.

How much room do I need to place a bin or container?

The bins roll off the rear of the truck, so the truck needs room to approach, place the bin, and pull away safely. Plan for the length of the bin plus about 30 to 50 feet of additional space. On the street, that is roughly four car lengths. A hard, level driveway is usually best. Slope, overhead wires, low branches, parked cars, tight lanes, and soft ground can affect placement. If access is tight, mention it in your quote request or send a photo.

Can the bin go on my driveway?

In many cases, yes. Bins should be placed on a hard, level surface. Placement depends on truck access, overhead wires, branches, slope, and safety.

Where will you place the bin?

The bin is placed where it can be delivered and picked up safely, usually on a driveway or another hard, level private surface. Tell us your preferred spot when requesting a quote, and mention gates, parked cars, low branches, overhead wires, slope, tight lanes, or anything that could limit truck access.

Can the bin damage my driveway or property?

Heavy bins and trucks can mark or damage soft, weak, uneven, freshly finished, or fragile surfaces. A hard, level driveway is usually best, but final placement depends on site conditions and driver judgment. If you are concerned about a surface, mention it before delivery.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

If you have special placement instructions, it is best to be on-site. The driver has the final say on safe placement.

How high can I fill the bin?

Material should stay level with the top edge of the bin and should not stick out over the sides. Overfilled bins can be unsafe to haul and may need material removed before pickup.

Do I call when the bin is ready for pickup?

Yes. When you are finished loading, call 604-690-7325 to arrange pickup. If you need the bin removed on a specific day, give as much notice as possible so pickup can be scheduled.

What if I fill the bin and still have more material?

Contact Peak Recycling before continuing. Depending on schedule and bin availability, a pickup and replacement bin may be arranged, or we can help you decide the best next step for the remaining material.

Do I have to be on location for delivery or pickup?

You do not always need to be on-site if clear placement and access details have been provided. If the location is tight, has special instructions, or there is any question about where the bin should go, being available by phone or on-site is helpful.

Do I need a permit?

Bins placed on private property usually do not need a permit. Bins placed on a street or public property may require permission from the municipality.

What happens to recyclable materials?

Loads are taken to a recycling facility, where recyclable materials are separated and recovered whenever accepted and possible.
